Clarissa James has had the worst childhood anyone could ever imagine, her father was an abusive alcoholic, and her mother would be to frightened to do anything. The only thing she ever actually liked, were those summer afternoon with her twin brother. That is until her mother took a stand against her father, and Clarissa actually gets to know one of the 'popular' guys, after thinking they're all snobbish. She realizes he's not only a pretty face, and he become like her therapy.
