"I only want you, Maximus. At nasabi ko na rin sa pamilya ko na mahal kita at gusto kitang pakasalan. No one else."

Umiiling si Max mula sa mga narinig. "No. No. You're not being fair, Aurora." Nawawalan na siya ng lakas kasabay ng pag-asa na mapabago ang isip nito. Max leaned his body at the back of the single chair, almost sitting. He tugged on his necktie, needing some more air. Napatingin siya sa sahig. He's powerless against his dad. Hindi niya ma poprotektahan ang girlfriend mula sa pamilya niya. Hindi niya namalayang humakbang si Aurora palapit. Naramdaman nalang niya ang kamay nitong hinahaplos ang kanyang pisngi. He turned to her. "You're not fair." He mumbled weakly. Like a defeated child.

She's rubbing her thumb against his cheeks. "The world's not fair, Max." She shook her head. "It's never fair," Malumanay nitong sagot.

"You get everything you want," ignoring her actions. He'd gone numb all over. This girl is too much of everything. Too selfish to even understand how he felt.

"No. I don't have your heart."

Max swatted her hand away and stood up straight. He chuckled at her response and halted. Umiiling siyang tumingin ng diretso sa mga mata nito. "You won't. You don't even have one."
