Radioactive

History repeats itself. Always. That much I know for certain. After the nuclear war majority of the adults died off. The teens and young adults got sick permanently but mostly survived. The children, however, evolved. The radioactive remains of the old world seeped into their DNA. The adults put them all in the arena. They thought it would contain them while they studied them. It worked, for a while at least, but history repeats itself. Only this time the weapons could think. And they weren't children anymore.
