In a world where demons exist, demon slayers must also be there, to exterminate any demons they encounter and to protect the innocent.

As a Hashira, Tsuki Akane knows this better than anyone. She knows she's not meant to leave demons alive and she knows that she must continue climbing up the hierarchy until she is first. Then, she can be able to prove to someone that she is powerful enough. That she's good enough.

But the chain of events that are slowly unfolding may smash her fantasies to dust. After all, the moon is never as powerful as the sun and will never be, as the sun is the sole light that makes the moon shine. When the sun is gone, what is the moon? Nothing but useless, a small rocky planet, that can never outshine anything.
