She never believed in love-mostly because she never got any.
She grew up learning not to expect things... from anyone.
Fought her own battles. Built walls so high no one could see the girl she really was underneath.

People called her rebellious when she walked out of her house at 18.
They judged. They talked.
But she knew her truth... and she never felt the need to explain it to anyone.
still she believed in good...kindness and she gave it to everyone she cares about, everyone she knew deserved it.

And then she saw him-
the one person who made her heart stop for a second.
Her first real crush.
And for the first time, things started to feel... perfect.
Too perfect.
Too good to be real.

But she believed. She believed in HIM.

Until he broke her too.
The only man she trusted...shattered her without thinking twice.
She wanted to walk away. She tried.
But leaving him?
That wasn't an option anymore-because he didn't give any. She was already his.

His to hate
His to Ruin.

Glimpse:
A single tear slipped down her cheek as she looked at me... disbelief, anger, hurt-everything in her eyes at once.

Her voice cracked, barely a whisper.
"Ek... ekansh... pl... please... say it's... it's not true... say... say it pl... please."

I stood there, looking untouched. Or... that's what I kept telling myself.
"It's true, Trisha."
My voice came out cold, low.
"Whatever you heard right now. Is. True."

She stepped back like my words actually hit her.
Good.
That's exactly what I wanted.

Her gaze dropped, tears running freely.
"S... so all... of it was a lie... you... you never loved me?"
Her voice was so soft it almost broke something in me.

"Yes... it was all a lie."
I said it coldly, like I didn't care.

But for a second-just a second-something twisted in my chest...
before I forced it dead again.

Valeria didn't rush. She never did. Inez was pinned beneath her, wrist locked overhead, the hold precise and impersonal. Not pain. Control. Inez scoffed anyway. "That's it?" she sneered. "I've had tutors scarier than you." Valeria said nothing. The silence pressed in. "You don't scare me," Inez added, louder. Brattier. "You just-" "Enough." One word. Flat. Final. Valeria lifted Inez's chin with two fingers, detached as a correction. "Look at me," she said coolly. "If you're going to embarrass yourself, do it properly." Inez laughed, brittle. "You think this makes you powerful?" "I don't think," Valeria replied. "I decide." Her gaze never wavered. "You provoke because it's the last control you have." "I don't belong to you," Inez snapped. Valeria leaned in, voice razor-thin. "You are my wife. You belong to consequences." She released her grip. "Say it." A"No." Valeria waited. The quiet broke Inez, she hated being ignored. "...I'll behave, I'll be a good girl" Inez muttered. "Specify." Inez swallowed hard. "...I'll be your good girl" Valeria stepped back, already distant. "Good," she said. "Remember why." #1 older women-13th February (FAST PACE BOOK)
