Sophie works a dead-end job--a front-desk assistant at a medical office. She makes enough. Works enough. Still, it's not fulfilling.
After work, she spends her nights performing story-writing commissions. Her recent customer is looking for a psychological thriller novella based on the killer that's been on the news, often referred to as "The Scribe".
The Scribe, a streamlined killer, has one signature to his kills. He writes poems for the victims. They're not vague; in fact, they're the opposite. They're incredibly detailed, describing the daily turmoil in the victim's life.
Finding out the killer operates in her hometown, she dives into the case. She posts on the internet forum "ColdTrail", a common gathering place for true crime junkies, questioning about The Scribe.
Little does she know, the first response to the post is from the murderer himself.
And he's intrigued by Sophie.

Once the story progresses, the reader will be able to choose what Sophie does. Will she decide to stick with him for the sake of curiosity, or end his killing spree once and for all?
It is up to you to decide.
