Nobody understands that Audrey would delete this part and surely all the rest of her past out of her life if she could. But everyone just sees the daughter of a mafia gang in her.
The only one who stands up for her, helps her, is kind to her, helps her find a job and even ensured that she could live with her aunt is Chief Hale.

Even if the city loses its power and falls apart day after day, Hale tries to keep its reputation as much as possible.
But not only the city falls apart but also Audrey's life.
