The world has regressed into filth after the rise of the a powerful, yet dysfunctional and corrupt, global government. Most are ignorant to the past life of humans, the innovations, the simplistic amenities that were provided. Yet, there are a select enlightened few that passionately remember the way it used to be. The way it should be.

Fantine is one of these few, as was her father. Inspired by her sister's well-meaning, but erratic and dangerous, decisions to join a band of violent rebels, Fantine is forced to stand for something she admired from afar.

Whether it is a death-wish or what she was born for, it doesn't matter. It is universally understood that anything worth dying for is a divine reason to live.
