Well, accually, when they were babies, they were best of friends, and an evil witch who lives in the Enchanted Forest kidnapped them. She put a spell on them to make them see through each others eyes. But she erased their memory, so they have no clue why they see through each others eyes.
Why did the witch do this?
Will they ever find out whose eyes they see from?

All the chapters before that are, once again, events you would already be familiar with. 4. Finish book 2 and move on to book 3. There on after, you can read normally. This isn't compulsory. It is simply, in my opinion, the best way to enjoy the series. Since I understand that some portions of the first two books are not very different from canon and thus, can seen boring.
