Glowing Eyes

Peasant protagonist Isaac Moriah was thought to be the most cold, bitter, self-absorbed man in the village - 'til demons with glowing eyes arrived in the night. The beastly yet refined vampires slaughter thousands across the land and intend to make the rest of humanity their chattel to feed upon. Against his better judgment, Moriah and his strong-willed yet good-hearted ex, the now married Elizabeth Mannering, establish an alliance with an eccentric, wild, and lonely pink-eyed vampire called Coraline. Ever uncertain of whether they are Coraline's playthings or only true friends, Moriah and Elizabeth delve deeper into understanding vampiric society while attempting to save their village from ruin.
