Life for 18 year old Clyde Pierce isn't all as it's cracked up to be. Taking on the responsibility of his father's shop in the town is a heavy burden as he tries to make it through high school. But, who knew what they wanted to be growing up as a greaser in Valley Brook, Oaklahoma in 1965 anyway? Then again, neither did 17 year old, city girl, Jacqueline Moreno when her father drags her out of the city for the year to be with her mother.

"Greaser!" "Hoods!" "Criminals!" These names erupted around my table. I was angered, and slightly drunk. This made me angry very quickly. "Oh pipe the hell down! Offer them a drink!
