Jenna, who prefers to be called Jen, lives on a ranch in Colorado. Her life with her Father and brother is going fine, she has a few friends at school, and life in general is pretty good. Unfortunately there is a drought that is sucking the life from the land. Things aren't perfect, but when are they ever? The one thing that does seem to be perfect is her love for her best friend and favorite horse Pine. But one little accident would change things forever. A mistake with Pine would lead Jen to run away and leave her good life behind to find a better one. Hopefully.
