Two years have passed since

deranged technomancer
with a permanent grin
carved into his face and
malice in his heart. Through
an army of his own making-
cold, adaptive machines
known as Grubots-and a
perfect, corrupted clone of
one of Earth's defenders,
Smilz begins his campaign
to seize control of the
planet, and every world
beyond. His goal is clear:
eliminate every hero,
warrior, or force capable of
defying him, and reshape
creation in his image.

Now, the Ascendant Force
must rise again. As Ayden,
Danny, and Evan prepare for
the greatest battle of their
lives, the fate of their world-
and perhaps the
multiverse itself-will
depend on whether they can
outthink a genius who sees
