Heba Badran grew up in a funeral home, raised by an Egyptian mortician. She believed her night terrors were nothing more than bad luck.

Until they spoke on her sixteenth birthday.

The protection of her Anubis amulet waned, and the voices were no longer contained: they were horrors forged in chaos, hunting for demigods' hearts...

And they wanted hers.

Soon, Heba discovered a hidden world filled with children of the gods who are ruled by laws, judgments, and Egyptian deities who do not forget.

Silence, anger and pain once kept Heba safe. Now it may be the reason she's hunted.
