"Oh, shut up," she says. "Grandma needs makeup."

She grabs her bag, looks at me. "So did you just come with Finn? No boyfriend?"

I laugh. Which boyfriend?

"What are you talking about?"

She shows me her phone. Finn's calling.

"Oh," I say. "It's time to perform."

She steps closer. Then leans in and whispers in my ear-
