Let Me Love You

His hazel eyes were sharp fixed on me, his hands flat on the table.

I flinched inwardly, he never looked at me that way, dark and angry. His eyes were usually soft caring and loving but not this.

"So basically what you're saying, and correct me if I'm wrong, I'm the problem. Everyone knows what 'It's not you it's me' means", his voice was hard and accusing.

I knew this was a bad idea to agree to see him.

"Nate", I sighed uncomfortable, "I- I can't do this, us, I'm not ready"
"You can't do this", he chuckled darkly shaking his head, "You're afraid, that's what you are", he leaned across the table his voice low and added only for my ears, "I remember you were more than ready when we made love and you came over and over again around my cock begging me to keep going"

He leaned back in his seat, his hands going through his hair letting out a shaky breath.

"We spent time together, laughed together, talked together... So this meant nothing to you? Was this a sick game to make me fall in love with you so that you could destroy me after you got me all wrapped up around your finger?" his voice broke, his eyes pleading with me to reconsider, to take him back.

I was speechless, my voice gone, shaking, my hands gripping the burning mug full of camomille tea.

I wasn't shaking because of anger, no, I was shaking because I was hurting him but I was also hurting myself....

This is the story of something that was supposed to be simple, easy, but strangely it turned out complicated.

A love story between Annabelle and Nathaniel, both in their thirties, more alike than they think but sometimes love meets you and you have to choose whether to accept it, or reject it...
