Doves and Crows (A Kaz Brekker/Shadow and Bone Fanfiction)

Dove: A beautiful white bird, universally recognized as a symbol of peace. Often described as calm, peaceful, and friendly birds, Doves are known to mate for life.

Crow: A black bird, often regarded as scary due to its scrappy nature. Crows are known for their problem-solving, tool use, and communal living, exhibiting familial cooperation, long-term memory, and diverse, omnivorous diets. They also mate for life.

Peace is all Eve Genezing has ever wanted. She thought that once she was proven to be a Grisha, she would go to the little palace and finally fit in. But alas, even amongst magical beings, Eve is different. She is Corpralki, an order occupied by Heartrender, Healers, and Tailors. No Grisha, for centuries, has had the power of all three principals, and yet...Eve does. It only makes matters worse that she's unnaturally beautiful, and as such, catches the attention of the general, which every Grisha is vying for. This only further alienates her from her peers.

Revenge is all Kaz Brekker has ever wanted. He remembers what Pekka Rollins did to him and his brother, stealing their money, resulting in their homelessness, and eventually their contraction of the Queen's Plauge. Kaz's older brother died...Kaz was only mistaken as such, resulting in a tragic event that has left him traumatized and averse to physical touch.

Now,these two wounded birds must rely on each other to meet their ends. Can they learn to trust again, in spite of all that's happened to them? But beyond that...

Can a dove and a crow find love in one so different?
