Home - a byler story
March 30th, 1986. The day after the events of season 4. Will and Mike arrive back in Hawkins. Home. But home isn't the same anymore. Hawkins, their once beloved town, now looks more like an apocalyptic disaster. The two boys know it's them and the party who needs to save the town. However, this task proves to be difficult when new feelings emerge. Will, the kind, soft and self-sacrificial cleric, who is hopelessly devoted to his so called unrequited crush. And Mike, the loyal but sometimes rude, leader of the party, who's struggling with new emotions he doesn't know how to handle. How will they save the town? But most importantly, how is will going to be able to share a room with Mike, his life long best friend and crush? Authors note: Just to preface, English is not my first language so please be kind(: Also, now that Stranger things 5 is only days away I thought I would finally release the story I've been writing just for fun over the past 1,5-2 years! Tension, yearning, real life threatening danger, and slow burn goodness 🔥 Will has been mostly honest about himself to everyone, but he still has one secret. Mike's world is spinning because, for once, he is not oblivious, and Will was pretty obvious about who his crush was, and the dots are finally connecting for Mike but are they connecting too late? And will Mike survive long enough to find out? The story is mostly using canon stuff from the show, but I've changed a lot from season 5 vol 2 from chapter 7 onwards. Its basically an alternate ending where Mike and Will actually admit their feelings, and byler happens😁 inspired by some of the cool theories I wish we got in season 5. I don't own any of the characters or the original story.
