"The crunch on the dirt informed her someone was walking towards her, probably the third assassin. She could feel his presence to her left but she made no effort to acknowledge him as he neared her. After a few moments, he cleared his throat nervously. “It’s time to go, Calisto,” his deep voice was barely audible and yet seemed to echo across the dirt and sand. When the girl didn't respond, he reached out to grab her shoulder. At the briefest touch, she snapped. Calisto was highly deadly; everybody in the business knew that. Fourteen year old Calisto finally had it. After all those years of being constantly drilled, she packed her bags and left to find her mother. In Southern Texas, four years later, is where life was altered yet again. Three assassins appeared, hired by Salvatore Valentino, slaying her mother along with the boyfriend Cali would have gladly called her real father.
