Harleigh seeks a life better than the one she was born into. Happiness for her is not wealth, false respect and isolation. While searching for a new home, Harleigh crosses paths with someone she despises but needs in order to learn more about who she is and what she is capable of. Harleigh doesn't want to need him but she does trust him to keep her secret.

Gael has an anterior motive. He is confident that he can use this situation to his advantage.
