She was born into loss-but she was raised in love. Her mother died bringing her into the world, and in the years that followed, her father's pain turned into anger that fractured their family. When custody was taken away, five brothers stepped into roles they were never meant to fill-and they never let her face life alone. Now starting her freshman year of high school, she's the only girl in a house ruled by strict rules, constant check-ins, and brothers who take her safety very seriously. They walk her to the bus, set curfews they don't negotiate, and glare down anyone who looks at her the wrong way-but behind every rule is love, fear, and the promise they made to protect her no matter what. At school, she's learning who she is outside of survival. At home, she's surrounded by boys who became men too fast, who argue loudly, love fiercely, and would do anything to keep her safe. As she begins to understand her past-and the complicated truth about her father-she discovers that family isn't defined by who failed you, but by who stayed. This is a story about healing after hurt, about brothers who chose love over resentment, and about a girl who grows up knowing that even in a broken beginning, something beautiful can still be built.

Sugar's addicting. So is she. Graham Davis has two addictions: Hockey-and Gracie Daniels. (Not that he knows it yet.) At St. Brown University, Gracie Daniels is the golden girl. Blonde ponytail, perfect smile, always saying yes. So when she's asked to manage PR for the hockey team, she agrees-hoping to help thaw their notoriously icy captain. But Graham Davis doesn't melt. He's distant, guarded, and doesn't need help from a pink-sweater-wearing perfectionist... until he starts noticing things he shouldn't. Skipped meals. Covered bruises. Flinches too small to be accidental. Gracie is sweet, bright, and hiding more than anyone knows. And Graham can't stop looking.
