With the unhinging jaw of a serpent and a tail built for crushing steel, Akuma spent her childhood as a lab-grown weapon, isolated from humanity and forced into brutal combat testing. Now an escapee living in the shadows of Musutafu, she is determined to rewrite her DNA's destiny. She doesn't want to be the "Apex Predator" her creators intended; she wants to be Voidgaze, the Abyssal Hero.
But the path to heroism is paved with more than just good intentions. Between the judgmental stares of a society that fears "villainous" mutations and the Abyssal Hunger that threatens to trigger a prehistoric killing frenzy, Akuma is fighting a war on two fronts. As her internal temperature drops and the predatory instincts of the Scorpius and Indominus scream for control, Akuma must prove that being a hero isn't about how you were made-it's about the monster you choose not to be.
