After presumably defeating Vecna and saving the world, Will Byers still has his powers. Will hates them, as he feels like Vecna since he has them. In school, a rumor that Will has powers is spread about him, using them to kill the demogorgans in the way Vecna did. Most people talk behind his back and avoid him, feeling as if he'll snap any second. Mike is acting weirdly towards Will, causing him to believe that Mike is creeped out by him and thinks differently of him. Further events in the story help him believe this until he finally breaks. Will Mike fix him?
