Falling in love is hard to do when no one will even look at you, and those that do hurry to look away. Andrea is a seventeen year old girl who has always wished for a sense of belonging, but being only half native to her tribe sets her apart from everyone else. And the other townspeople of Wapatau seem to avoid her just as easily. But life is always easier with a good friend. Her best (and only) friend Kaida has always been her moral support, and Kaida’s older brother Konai has always been there to tear her back down. With only days left in school, and the Spring Equinox festival just around the corner, Andrea looks at her life like a glass half empty. Until a random series of events, and a dark and stormy night, change her life forever.
