Summer of 1985 was going to be a saving grace for someone like Rylee Prescott. With strict parents who had their own personal issues, an older brother who up and left without warning, and being the outcast, she was more than grateful to be taken into custody by her Aunt Dottie and given a new change of pace. But behind the red door of opportunity also comes a secret world of monsters and superpowered beings that was once nothing more than just fictitious creations in media.
She always knew that Hawkins was different, perhaps even cursed but it was one thing to come face to face with the truth rather than hearing rumors being passed through news outlets and the school hallways. Luckily for her, she had amazing people to rely on and fight with.
Once the school year begins, Rylee must again go to extreme lengths with her good friend Robin, boyfriend Eddie Munson, Steve Harrington, Nancy Wheeler, and the rest of the Party, to save their hometown of Hawkins from a sinister, masterful villain that'd been pulling strings and dealing the cards.
