The Eleventh Hour

Raghnaid "Ray" MacMicking is the great-niece of Minerva McGonagall, born to the son that her grandmother, Fiona, had clandestinely with Minerva's father, upon the revelation that Robert McGonagall, a Muggle reverend, had married a witch, Isobel Ross, and fathered three magical children with her. Fiona flees from Caithness, where the McGonagall family lives, and relocates to a village in Aberdeenshire, where her Muggle son, Calder, is born, who ultimately marries another Muggle, Eilidh Grassick, which produces Ray.

Ray, however, is quickly discovered to be a witch, with Minerva coming to take custody of her, much to both Calder and Eilidh's relief.

At twenty-one, however, she is summoned back to her childhood home, and is presented with a Time-Turner, for Great-Aunt Minerva believes she knows how to make the world a better place. Armed with a Pensive, pertinent memories, a wealth of magical knowledge, and her Kneazle, Leto, Ray travels back to 1981, where she meets familiar, and unknown, faces, determined to bring about an even better tomorrow.
