**** In the vast expanse of the Stellaris Galaxy, two colonized worlds, the Empire of Orcus and the Kingdom of Chīmera, find themselves in an unexpected situation. Once bitter enemies, they are now compelled to set aside their differences and form an alliance. This alliance is to be solidified through a joint mission, bringing together a medical ship provided by the Chīmerians and a Guardian Battleship provided by the Orcusians. Additionally, each leading family will send a representative to participate in this endeavor. Among those chosen to partake in this joint mission is Bridget Thindrell, a young and highly skilled doctor. Bridget is tasked with leading the medical team aboard the hospital ship Tiamat. Her responsibilities include overseeing the health and well-being of both crews as she moves between ships. However, Bridget's role on this mission takes an unexpected turn when she encounters the captain of the Battle Cruiser, the Mercenary Prince. Despite his infuriatingly beautiful yet annoyingly rude demeanor, Bridget finds herself oddly drawn to him. In his presence, she inexplicably feels a sense of safety she hadn't anticipated. On the other side of the equation, we have Captain Adrian Antares Iroas, the fifth prince of Orcus and a highly respected captain. Assigned as the commander of the Titania, Adrian is no stranger to combat, having experienced it firsthand. Like many of his crew members, he is a seasoned mercenary with a dark past and a few dangerous secrets. To complicate matters further, an enigmatic figure known as 'The Duke' resurfaces, commanding an elite unit from the Galactic Vanguard Guild. His true identity remains shrouded in secrecy. Bridget finds herself caught between the powerful and alluring Captain Iroas and the mighty yet mysterious Elite. She must make a decision that will shape her destiny: to either become a political figurehead alongside the princely captain or stand steadfastly by the side of the far more dangerous Elite.
