Between Two Qadrs

Some hearts wait for what Allah has decreed. They bleed in patience, firm in their belief, and hold onto the rope of prayer. Nonetheless, there was hope in Fariha's prayers and strength in Adnan's worship. Timing plays a crucial role. There are people you meet, circumstances dancing in their head, pressurizing them to lead.

Fariha Ansari never thought she would slip. She assumed she was perfect. Nobody needs to correct her. At least that's what she assumed. She knew she would never really be in love. For the community, it was disgusting and she accepted to not do it. She was the prettiest. She had completed her bachelor's degree in psychology. She had hobbies. Crocheting was one of them and she would dance, sometimes. In the pursuit of her friend's encouragement, she does it passionately but one thing she knew is that her mother disliked it.

Fariha thought everything was fine until a family shifted in their neighborhood. Fariha knew that their youngest son Adnan Malik slipped somewhere in her heart. With his little actions, very little. His dominating voice scolding the kids in the street would settle in her heart. Teaching them about the Qur'an and reminding them to go to the masjid. Everything just slipped.

What Fariha thought she would never do has already happened to her. She had slipped in the universe of love, admiration and madness. But one thing Fariha didn't acknowledge was the fact that love came with lots of heartbreak and pain.
