Paris, 1924. During a performance at the theater called "Théâtre du Palais Royal", the famous actress Aurélia Fresnais refuses to go on stage after falling asleep in her dressing room. Frightened, she describes having dreamed of her own murder. Antoine Belfort, a young psychiatrist who has been renowned for several years, is sent to investigate the case and give his opinion on the young woman's mental health. All the actress can only remembers is that the killer in her dream wore a raven mask similar to those worn by plague doctors. As the case progresses, fear takes hold of the streets of Paris. An old urban legend about the Devil resurfaces in people's minds. A link is established with a series of unsolved murders from the past. Is the young woman schizophrenic? Is there really a killer?
