I'm not gonna go into too much about my dad. But I just need to get my emotions out.
I wrote this series of couplets after a social worker came to see me about my dad. The social worker said that he couldn't do anything to help me. I realized that I couldn't punch him so I wrote a poem.

"I'll take the beating, but don't touch her," my father begged, broken and desperate. His plea fell on deaf ears as the command was given. The lashes came swiftly, and while my family screamed in horror, my uncles and father tried to mask their pain. But if you looked closely, you could see the agony etched in their faces.
