Mia had never liked the attic-it smelled of dust and forgotten memories. But today, curiosity pushed her past the creaking stairs.
In the corner, a tall grandfather clock stood, its hands frozen at 3:15. She brushed off the dust, and to her surprise, the clock began ticking. A faint glow appeared from the keyhole, and a tiny note fell onto the wooden floor:
