Layla Ahmed is a soft-hearted, faith-driven young woman who believes that love should be gentle, intentional, and guided by Allah. From the pressures of university life to the emotional uncertainty of NYSC in Abuja, she walks through life carrying her prayers, her dreams, and a heart that has been broken more than once. After months of emotional confusion with her first love, Muhsin, who left her in silence and uncertainty, Layla turns completely to Allah, praying, journaling, and healing in quiet solitude at her aunt's home in Wuse. She tries to move forward, yet the ache of unanswered love still lingers. Then fate intervenes. A tragic accident at a café brings her face-to-face with Hareef; a handsome, dark caramel-skinned cinematographer, admired Abuja influencer whose presence feels like calm and destiny in human form. He saves her, takes her to the hospital, and unknowingly walks into her world through her lost diary, where he learns of her prayers, pain, and secret admiration for him. What begins as chance slowly turns into connection, late-night conversations, unspoken feelings, and a love that feels written in dua. But just as Layla begins to trust again, a shocking truth unravels, Muhsin, the man who broke her heart, is Hareef's close friend. Misunderstandings, betrayal, and fear push Layla away. She retreats to Nasarawa for her best friend Ummi's traditional Arewa wedding, hoping distance will heal her heart. But destiny has other plans. Hareef arrives at the wedding not as a stranger, but as a guest of the groom. Under the glow of Hausa drums, alkyabba, and wedding prayers, truths are revealed, apologies are made, and hearts are tested. In the end, Hareef chooses Layla not secretly, not casually, but honorably, by standing before her parents. Will Layla finally trust love again? Can faith truly heal a wounded heart? And is Hareef the answer to her whispered prayers?

COPYRIGHT © 2026 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED! How did we go from "My life is empty without you." His voice had once broken for me, soft with desperation. "I'll be better. For you, I'll do anything, I swear." I believed him. Now_ "Get lost. You're a nuisance..." The feelings that lived in him had faded away. Out of all my sins and mistakes, he was my favorite and my worst. We were once students in secondary school, exchanging glances that meant nothing until they meant everything. Then life separated us. I should have taken that as a sign from God but instead, I brought us back at the university and this time, he didn't come back the same. Neither did I. Everyone on campus warned me. Stay away from him. They said his name like it carried consequences. Like it could stain me but warnings sound like jealousy when you're in love. So I stayed. I should have listened. His letters were in my hands. My name written in his handwriting, his voice echoed harshly, the same voice that once traced promises against my skin now reduced to threats on paper. I tore one of the letters open. "It's over." My chest tightened. "Don't test me. I have everything I need to ruin you and I won't hesitate to." And there it was. Pain and Heartbreak. No apology. No explanation. Just a threat. Every word was written with certainty. Like he knew exactly how we would end. Like he had already planned it. He didn't just leave me, he stripped me of my dignity, he turned me into a joke, and a story whispered across campus halls. The girl blinded by love? She's gone, he erased her. And maybe that's his greatest crime. Villains aren't born, they are made. He didn't just break my heart, he studied and used me, then he rebuilt me into something I don't recognize. I will survive this as the one thing he never prepared for... his ending. . . . Highest Ranking🏆 #1 in Campus love story on 04-01-25 #1 in Ethiopia on 12-01-25 #2 in Mistreated on 04-01-25
