Keefe was holding a modified Lufterator on Dex's desk. Dex tried snatching it back but Keefe held it behind his back, smirking a little
I'm not giving it back until you tell me what it is.
Dex tried grabbing it one more time and ended up stepping into Keefe's solid chest, Keefe's hair tickled his nose and he was pretty sure he could smell the other boy's shampoo. Dex felt his heart-rate increase and remembering that Keefe was an empath a second too late, he moved away as quickly as he could.
"Hey, don't feel embarrassed. I think your ability is sick, I tell you all the time," Keefe said.
Thank God Keefe was an idiot.
