Her breathing began to quicken, her head began to pound, and her vision began to swirl. "N-no!" Her voice was raspy and sore. all those hours of crying and fearing the worst came true. "Griffin, you said you wouldn't leave like all the others did. You LIED!" she continued sobbing and yelling into her hands. The rain was light but still enough to soak both of them. He stood there. Letting his blonde hair hang in his face as he pretended to ignore her. "I didn't lie, I'm not leaving, just......I......" he sighed and walked down the sidewalk, disapering into the mist. She sat in the middle park wet and slowing slipping away inside, for the last and final time. "Morrigan, are you OK?" a male voice calls from behind. Sam runs up behind her and puts his coat on her. "Ware is Griffin?" he asked confused. "He left." she whispered in a lost tone. He tried his hardest not to smirk in victory and helped her up. "Come to my house, tell me everything."

"No, listen to me. Before this, before us, I was mindful of not overstepping any boundaries, even if it killed me to keep my distance. Now that you're mine, that boundary shit goes away for me. If you have a problem, it's my problem. Someone's treatin' you like shit, then they can answer to me. I'm not waiting around and watching you get walked on because I feel like it isn't my place, it is my place now," he finished, and I couldn't help the sad smile that formed on my face. "You don't have to do that though...you don't need to put that kind of burden on your shoulders," I mumbled, the idea of someone taking care of me like that one that I still wasn't accustomed to. He reached forward to grab my chin, the same way he always seemed to when he was telling me something important. I felt my breath hitch as he bent down to look me square in the eyes. "Punishing someone who decides they want to fuck with you isn't an obligation. I can promise you, I'll enjoy every second of it," he assured, though the sentiment wasn't exactly reassuring. ***** Sammy had wanted to leave behind her small town in Kentucky for a place where nobody would know her or her tragic past. Aurora sat in the passenger seat, her hands folded tightly in her lap. Her long, black dreadlocks cascaded down her back, swaying slightly with each bump in the road. Her chocolate skin glistened faintly under the dim light of the car, but she didn't notice. The world outside the window passed by in muted shades of gray and green, the trees thick with mist, the road winding up a steep hill that seemed to stretch on forever. Her mom was talking again, her voice upbeat and false. "This is for the best, baby. I know you don't think so now, but this place will help you heal. You're going to meet people who can understand what you've been through. You just need to open up. To let go of the past." Aurora clenched her jaw, feeling the heat rise in her chest. Her ex's house had been reduced to ash and rubble, the flames of her anger licking the air like something she couldn't control. But this-this place? It felt wrong from the start. The truth was, she didn't belong here. Not in the sterile hallways of Whispering Pines, not in the cold, uncaring arms of a psych ward, and certainly not under the watchful eyes of the people who had decided to send her away. "You'll see, honey," her mom continued, her voice syrupy sweet. "You'll get better. You'll be happy again." Aurora looked out the window, not trusting herself to speak. If only her mom knew the truth. The truth about how the fire had felt-how, for the first time in forever, she'd felt alive. She wasn't sorry. Not really. Aurora didn't know it yet, but this place would change her. Change all of them. And soon, the obsession would turn into something darker-something dangerous. They would kill for each other, lie for each other, and cross lines they never imagined. And in the end, none of them would be able to escape the pull. This was a quick one two it's got mistakes bc it was made in one night

The land they crossed was beautiful, the land was not flat but sloped into valleys and hills peppered with trees that gave shade and small streams, as they moved Sam spoke to him about the dry season, details of the land and where water could be found, and anything she thought would interest the man. Running out of things to say she turned to him and asked, " any questions?" " not regarding the land, would you mind answering a few personal ones?" Bryan asked Sam shook her head, "yes, I mind, I don't particularly like it, no offense." "None taken, just curious to know why you want to be mistaken for a boy." Sam reigned in her horse, and waited until he did the same. She pulled one leg out of the stirrup and placed it over the horn where she rested her elbow on her knee and placed her face on her hand, "think about this," she said nudging her horse so that she almost touched the man, "would we be riding here, like this, alone, if I looked like Cecile? All grace and delicacy?" Sam's eyebrows rose and an impish smile spread on her face as she watched Bryan's face change as her words sunk, and he pulled back. I wrote this story in the nineties, for my mother who was an avid romance reader and Barbara Cartland follower, she had been diagnosed with lung cancer and there wasn't much to do. Since we lived far apart I wrote this and other stories to entertain her and show my love. She was a brave woman who ventured from her motherland, Germany and married a man from Peru which language she did not even speak. I based most of my stories in her circumstances of not fitting in, she went to a country where she knew no one, and there she stayed for the love of one man.

This is back up! I never got around to editing it because I didn't have the time like I thought I would. Enjoy this and the sequel. Isabelle was jolted awake out of her nightmare quite suddenly. Dazed, she tried to look around but found that her head was held firmly to the pillow under her. Cloth covered her mouth and nose, a sickly sweet smell enveloping her senses. Her mind began getting hazy. Chloroform, her mind whispered almost silently. Her vision began tunneling, and she weakly looked up into a pair of icy blue eyes. She stared into those eyes as she was pulled deeply and forcefully into oblivion. Isabelle is a smart girl and not really the girly type unless going out. You would usually see her wearing sweats around the house or outside in her backyard on the beach since she lives on the ocean. So when she suddenly gets kidnapped one day, she wonders what she had ever done to deserve this. She hadn't done anything wrong, at least she didn't think she did. But she learns that there is something about her that is special and that she is not only human. Meet Jared Gray, the person that kidnapped Isabelle because of her being his mate. He's been waiting since he was 16 to find his mate and now he's 22, about to give up on ever finding his mate. But when he smells her in a mall one day, he follows her home and decides to take what's his. Isabelle's life will never be the same again. Will she be able to escape or will she fall in love with her hot and charming kidnapper that she wants nothing to do with? Or will she stay with him and eventually fall in love? --- THIS IS A DRAFT. And I was 15 when I first started writing it so there are many mistakes. Please don't judge too harshly. WARNING: CONTAINS SOME SCENES OF SEXUAL AND MATURE CONTENT ALSO, MANY MISTAKES! SOME THINGS I'VE WRITTEN I FORGOT TO PUT BACK IN THE STORY SO THIS NEEDS TO BE HEAVILY EDITED. Sequel is called Unwinding Fate

-- PROLOGUE "Let me get this straight. We have nothing in between us, except for the deal we made that day" he spoke in a monotonous tone. "I am the one carrying your name behind me; we are married. how can you say we have nothing in between us? Huh" She yelled at him, tears blurred her vision, and she spoke her heart to him. "For god's sake, this marriage was to save you! Can't you get that? I did not do it willingly, I do not love you!!" He yelled back at her, shattering her heart into pieces. "Why can't you just love me?" She spoke, as she cried the tears of hurt, and pain. Her heart thumped loudly due to the shivering sensation She felt all over her body. "I never made a commitment to you, or gave you any false hope, neither did i say that i love you. Did i?" He asked her, in a very cold tone. She looked at him through her teary eyes. It's getting difficult for her to even breathe. "It was your eyes, the damn eyes. Who gave me the false hope. They say, "Eyes speak the truth," but what about mine? Couldn't you feel the sincerity within them, expressing my deep affection for you? Why didn't you see the love shining in them? Was it too complex to understand? Couldn't you notice the warmth as they gazed at you? They search for you in every corner, If only you realized how they silently echoed the emotions I couldn't articulate. They say, "Eyes never deceive." But what about yours? They played a trick on me when they met mine, painting a facade of a world that wasn't real. They made me feel loved, Leading me into a belief that crumbled, louder than your spoken promises. Why did they betray me? Was it your eyes or you that masked the truth?" He stayed still, not moving or saying anything at her statement. --

Wren's life is about to change forever - but not how she expects it to. Kidnapped on her wedding day, she finds herself trapped in a mountain cave, unable to return home with no company outside of the inhuman creature that took her. *** "Wait, Wren! Not that way!" It was darker here and panic limited her vision, but she could see it reaching for her; its wings like two huge looming shadows behind it. "Get away! Don't touch me! No, let me go!" She shrieked. She screamed in earnest as a hand took hold of her arm, and then even more when her own hand reached for something to hang onto and grasped at empty air. She had been scrambling towards a sudden drop! The hands hauled her back, but she still struggled. She didn't want to look at it, and she still wasn't sure she wouldn't rather take her chances with the open air instead. "Stop it, I'm not going to hurt you! You'll hit your head on the rock or something. Wren, please!" It knew her name. Somehow it knew her. She was going to die! "Let me go! Stop touching me!" She was sitting on the rocky floor now with her back against an uneven wall, and it was trying to pin her down and hold her still. She kept her eyes turned away and struggled helplessly, but it was no use. It was strong like a human man too, and she couldn't keep it off of her. The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. "I'll let go of you, okay? Just don't lunge around like that anymore, you'll get hurt." He whispered.

(Book 2) *Contains spoilers below* "I needed more closure than what you gave me." I half lied. "It feels like an open wound someone keeps pouring salt on." His expression remained hard and cold. Almost distant. "I don't know what you want from me, Willow. You coming here isn't closing any wounds, it's just opening up old ones." I let out a sigh and rubbed my hands over my face. "I just needed to see you, okay? It's a relief to know you're even alive right now." I was begging myself not to cry. Noah shifted a little and folded his arms against his chest. "I don't know what you want me to say." "Anything is better than nothing." I said as I took a step closer. "I missed you. A lot." He peeked from under the mess of curls falling over his eyes. "You want me to tell you I missed you too? Is that what you're doing here?" I clenched my jaw shut and curled my fingers into fists at my sides. "I don't want anything from you."
