Ignithra

The sky was wrong the night Ignithra was born, and the world has been trying to bleed her for it ever since.

In the kingdom of Veilareth, divine power is not given, but it is taken. Bound by Covenant law and crowned in bone, the king's immortality is paid for in blood, drawn from the Blessed, whose bodies are claimed in the name of the gods. Ignithra has spent her life hiding from that fate, her wings bound, her true name buried, surviving on the edges of a land that hunts what it fears.

When she is captured and prepared for the Rite, escape comes with the help of the very prince sworn to uphold the system that would destroy her. Ignithra is forced into the hidden underworld of Veilareth, where an ancient resistance guards a forbidden truth: the gods never demanded the Crown, and the Covenant is a lie.

As the Veil thins and the city edges toward collapse, Ignithra must choose between survival and vengeance.
