-------
"I hate him. He hates me. We hate each other; the feeling is mutual. But it wasn't always this way...it used to be lighter...easier...more carefree...until That Day. The day that shattered everything. The day we admitted there was more between us than just friendship. The day that ruined it all."
-------
Oscar Piastri had always looked up to Lando Norris in more ways than one. They had met one day, at karting, and were attached at the hip after that. Then something happened between the two boys, something no one could figure out or persuade out of them.
On That Day, they stopped being friends, and it was implied they were now rivals, enemies.
They were meant to conquer the racing world together. They were meant to be each other's rock. But they're not. And the world is watching them clash, on the track and off.
They both don't know how to fix what has been broken so many years ago, and they're both too stubborn to try. They're each trying to fill the void the other person left, with someone else, but as they both know deep down, it will never happen.
----------
This story is about friendship running deeper, much deeper than they both wish to admit, stolen glances, touches that should be innocent, trying to replace someone that can't be replaced, missed opportunities and silence that seems unbreakable.
