Shadows Over the Sixteen Prefectures

He was never supposed to become part of history.

Stone was an ordinary man from the modern world when fate-or something far stranger-threw him into the tumultuous world of medieval China.

Separated from his family and surrounded by the Liao, Jin, Song, Western Xia, and Qara Khitai, Stone soon discovers that surviving history is much harder than reading about it.

He witnesses wars, political conspiracies, assassinations, strange technologies, and civilizations rising and falling. Along the way, he gathers an unlikely family of people from different times and cultures.

Then, while fleeing an assassination, Stone falls into the earth with his wife and five-year-old son.

When he wakes again, centuries seem to have passed.

He is no longer in China.

He is somewhere across the ocean, among the Iroquois.

His mother and stepfather are already there.

And history is waiting for him again.

From medieval Asia to the forests of North America, Stone's journey will cross centuries, civilizations, wars, and borders. But beneath all the battles and adventures, his ambitions remain surprisingly simple:

Keep his family alive. Find a place to call home. Grow some potatoes.

Unfortunately, history has never been very good at leaving him alone.

I will be posting this story on Royal Road and WebNovel.
