The five Clans in the forest have lived in peace for many moons now. It seems like nothing could ever go wrong. But things always go wrong in the Clans. The first leaders were sent a prophecy. Not from StarClan, but from somewhere even more powerful than StarClan. They never figured out what it meant, but the prophecy was passed down leader to leader. Every leader had the dread of wondering if the darkness would come at their time leading. It never did. Until now. Darkpaw is sent a dream of great darkness and a prophecy foretelling five cats that will rise above the darkness. She doesn't yet understand its true meaning, but knows she has to find the other cats mentioned in the prophecy first. It proves to be harder than she thought, and Darkpaw worries she won't figure it out in time.

Prophecies are works about journeys and saving clans via StarClan's designated cats. StarClan can't predict everything though, right? Sparkfur is hated by much of her clan. She's much more intelligent than any other cat, she's sassy, and an annoyance. They have half a mind to kick her out, but at the same time, they would never put the deputy's sister in the dangers of being a loner. That's the difference about DrizzleClan and its fellow bordering clans: the rogues are savages that will murder any lone cat in cold blood if they don't join up with the growing Rogue band. The four Clans-GrassClan, OakClan, PineClan and WillowClan-have lived in relative balance since the Clans began. They kept separate, save for their Gathering every full moon. Newleaf found GrassClan weak and starving but with hope on their horizon. Their oldest queen had moved into the nursery. Then, disaster struck a second time. Greencough swept through the Clan, snuffing out the new lives before they had even begun. The dreaded sickness left its mark, stealing the future of the Clan and all hope with it. Life had taken its toll on GrassClan. All that remained were their young leader, their deputy, their elderly medicine cat, one warrior and three elders. They had no apprentices, no she-cats and no kits. The once vibrant Clan was on the brink of dying out. The four Clans would soon be no more. But her sister receives a colder welcome like the rest of the clan, and BlazeClan is finally treated the way they once treated cats they deemed unworthy of respect by the violent and code-bearing tribe.
