Mars is a scientist, which means he believes in three things: data, procedures, and not being interrupted during important work. Unfortunately, NASA believes in emergency drills.

What starts as a routine simulation soon collides with a real and deeply inconvenient problem - a space anomaly that refuses to behave like anything space has ever produced. Models fail. Predictions collapse. The numbers stop making sense.
