A Tale for the Hinterland

Once, there was only the Land. No borders, no seas. Every people, every crown, every faith was rooted there.
Then came the Mistborne Woe. Whether it was a curse, a war, or a thing that crawled out of the world itself, none agree. What is known is this: humanity could not remain.
As the Woe spread, the Land was sundered. What lay nearest the flight of mankind became known as the Vorland; what was lost beyond the Woe's reach became the Hinterland, a place spoken of only in fragments and forbidden maps.
In time, even the Vorland could not endure. The Woe broke it apart, shattering it into countless islands scattered across the Great Sea. Upon these fragments humanity survived-isolated, divided, and ever watched by the Mist.
Stories intertwine underneath the watchful eye of the Mist, and what it makes may raise a new age of exploration. Those daring enough to seek out the Hinterland.
