False gods lord their cruelty over the world of Ymir, exploiting the planet's denizens to harvest adonium: a metal that acts as a conduit for magical power. Winged archons enforce the will of the false gods, and fiends suffer as the scapegoats for all the world's woes. Thrice the false gods have decimated Ymir's surface from the safety of their starships, and all who speak against their wickedness are executed as heretics.

But word has spread of a deity higher than the false gods: the One, who will one day judge them for what they've done. A Rebellion has formed around the promise of a coming day: The Third Genesis, a time when the planet Ymir will finally be free of counterfeit divinity.
