Nika Volkov, an 18-year-old, was in Minsk when the Nazis invaded during World War II. He was captured and forced to fight for Germany. During his first battle, he was left for dead. When he finally woke up, he saw a familiar face - a face he thought he would never see again.
Alex Volkov, his older brother at 20 years old, was in military training in Moscow when the war with Germany broke out. Assigned as a sniper, he became known as "Reaper" after achieving more than 30 confirmed kills. He ventured deep into enemy territory, where he encountered someone he believed had died.
An enemy soldier, also forced to fight for Germany, warned the two brothers about snipers in the area. When one of them was hit, the soldier helped them escape the sniper's line of sight.
Nika recognized the soldier; he was someone he had known since childhood.
