The war that was stopped by the snow

This is an english translation from the original story, which was written in spanish, my native language. I hope you like it regardless.

This story tells the misadventures of a nameless soldier who fights for his country in a war against his neighbor, he doesn't know what caused it, nor how many died, and even less if he'll live to tell the story. The only thing he knows for real is that he has fought for many months, he has seem die many of his partners, he has slained many of his foes, and that his mind can't stand any more of this violence that he's been suffering and causing in equal measure.
