Synopsis: Takeru Naruse has been in love with Hana Shimizu since they entered high school. She is everything he is not: outgoing, bright, and always surrounded by friends. Despite seeing her every day, he has never mustered the courage to talk to her, convinced that she would never notice someone as ordinary as him. But one day, against all logic, Hana approaches him with an unexpected proposal: "Be my boyfriend... but only pretend." She needs his help to avoid her family's attempts to get her engaged to someone she doesn't want, and.Takeru, although he knows it's a dangerous game for his heart, accepts. For him, pretending to be with Hana is the closest he can be to his impossible love. At first, she treats him only as a means to her plan. But over time, she begins to notice something in his eyes, in his voice, in his actions, and worst of all, every moment they spend together makes her wonder: why does this fake boyfriend feel more real than any other relationship? As the line between pretense and reality blurs, Hana will have to face the truth: is she just playing with Takeru's feelings, or is she the one who has fallen into her own trap?

After fleeing her abusive ex in the middle of the night, Chloe Dawson arrives in a small coastal town with nothing but a duffel bag, a crying six-month-old baby, and the last of her savings. She rents a tiny apartment where the walls are paper-thin. Next door lives Sergeant Mason Kane, disciplined, exhausted, emotionally closed off, and currently on leave between military assignments. After years in the army, silence is the only thing that helps him sleep. Then the baby starts crying every night. At first, Mason is irritated. Chloe is terrified of him. Every knock on the door reminds her of the man she escaped.
