Multi-billionaire construction tycoon Alfred Wyatt has been murdered in cold blood, with his limbs cut off and sewn back onto his body.

Now it's up to strong-willed Nicola 'Nick' Santiago to find out what really happened to him, and being one of NYPD's finest detectives, it was a no-brainer that she was assigned the case. However... Nick has one downside. While other detectives have partners to assist with their cases, she prefers working alone. So imagine her shock when she discovers that she must team up with the dashing new recruit, Yoofi Amponsah, an equally accomplished detective, to figure out who killed Alfred.
