Emmalyn Grace Robinavitch has spent her entire life in the emergency department. Raised by her father, Dr. Michael Robinavitch, after losing her mother to a fatal postpartum hemorrhage the day she was born, the ED became more than a workplace for Emmalyn,it became her second home. Growing up alongside charge nurses, residents, and physicians taught Emma lyn to notice what everyone else missed, making her one of the most observant new interns despite being only an MS2.

As the longest shift of her life begins, Emmalyn joins the newest group of interns alongside Dennis Whitaker, Trinity Santos, Mel King, and Victoria Javadi. While she fights to prove she's more than "Dr. Robinavitch's daughter," an unexpected friendship with Dennis slowly turns into something neither of them anticipated.

But when a patient arrives suffering the very complication that claimed her mother's life, Emmalyn is forced to confront the grief she's buried for years. With her world unraveling and her father struggling to accept that his little girl is growing up, Emmalyn must learn that being a good doctor doesn't mean carrying every burden alone.

Set during Season One of The Pitt, this story follows twelve unforgettable hours of medicine, found family, first love, and discovering that sometimes the people who save you aren't the ones wearing the highest rank-they're simply the ones who refuse to leave your side.
