" Will reaches out, hesitating, before resting his hand over Mike's wrist. Mike's fingers curl instinctively, and Will slides his hand closer. They're basically holding hands.

"That's not how this works," Will says. "You can't blame yourself for things you can not control."

Mike lets out a hollow laugh, "Maybe you're right."

They sit in silence for a moment, their hands still joined.

"Mike..."

"Hmm?" Mike hums, looking at Will.

"What you saw... do you think... was it Venca? Do you think he's coming for you like he did with Max?" Will looks Mike in the eyes, then looks down at their hands. "
