Laura Martinez, 18 years old was an extraordinary girl. She was introverted with a passion that lived on ice. It was the career she wanted, to dance, to fly, to feel free. So she worked hard on her passion. She competed and won first place almost all of the time. The occasional second place, but that never bothered her because she didn't skate to win. She skated to feel alive.

Rico Quartez, 20 years old was a cold man. He was a boxer. He had to choose between the streets or boxing, so he chose boxing. He was unstoppable. He fought with tactics, precision. Sometimes nearly killing his opponents if he wasn't stopped.

When Laura's best friend forces her to watch a fight right after her own training, she doesn't expect Rico to make eye contact with her. A man who didn't care who watched him fight. A man who didn't even hear people screaming his name, cheering him on.
