Felix Cormier lives in a world only described as "The New World." He only knows of the old world because of his mother's bed time stories, and he is addicted to her song, even though he only heard it once. Music is gone. Then when he is selected to become an explorer, a suicide mission. And he meets Aya, a scared, mysterious girl who has a secret bigger than life.
