I didn't just wake up in my favorite novel. I woke up as its greatest villain destined to die at my husband's hand. My name is Kina, but in this world, I'm Hera Desmond. The siren. The seductress. The jealous wife of Aaron Desmond, second son of the powerful Arila Dukedom, who is fated to run me through with his own sword for my supposed betrayal. I never finished the book, so the details are fuzzy. I just know the ending: Hera dies. Miserably. A failed traitor. Well, not this Hera. I don't want the emotionally distant husband. I don't need the glittering title or the rivalry with the story's radiant main character, Angelica. All I want is to survive. To quietly build a life from nothing, far from the deadly plot I'm trapped in. But in a story that's already written, every choice seems to pull me back toward the same tragic climax. The noble society expects a villainess, the plot... it expects a corpse. My new story starts from zero. This time, the villainess is aiming for a happy ending.

When a girl finds herself accidentally transported into the world of her favorite romance novel, she is pleased to find out that she's become the story's only sensible character: the unnamed coffee shop girl. Now with a front row seat to the romance, Megan finds that she just can't watch a dark and brooding hero awkwardly stalk his way into the female lead's heart. So she sets out on a mission: to reform him into a well rounded character capable of healthy relationships. But in the end, she may have gotten more than she bargained for.
